Hélène joined the Ākina Foundation in 2014 to design and deliver NZ’s first social enterprise accelerator programme. Hélène then stepped into the role of Project Director for the 2017 Social Enterprise World Forum and led the team that designed and delivered a multi-faceted event that gathered 1600 delegates in the city of Christchurch over a week.
Since then, Hélène has taken the challenge to develop a place-based approach to building capability and growing local ecosystems in Aotearoa New Zealand. As Director for Places & Networks at Ākina, Hélène leads a team that is spread across the country and is focused on building partnerships with local organisations, supporting them to be the voice of social enterprise in their region.
Hélène joined the SEWF Board in August 2017 and has the great privilege to be currently serving as the Chair of the Board.
