Lorraine is the Founder of Afanite. She is focused on bridging the gap between commercial, social and public sectors and recently worked with the Irish Department of Rural and Community Development and the Social Finance Foundation to deliver a research report that underpins the first Irish Social Enterprise Policy.
Lorraine is an advocate for financial inclusion, leading a multi-stakeholder initiative that offers an alternative to moneylender loans – the product has been rolled out to over 270 credit union locations across Ireland. Appointed by the Minister for Finance, she Chairs the Credit Union Advisory Committee. Lorraine is also a member of the Irish Corporate Social Responsibility Forum. Lorraine is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and holds a Masters in International Relations from Dublin City University.
