Social Enterprise Academy

Neil has been Chief Executive of the Social Enterprise Academy for over 11 years. During this time, SEA has become the largest Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Centre in Scotland, and has shared its model internationally, with partner hubs established in 12 countries including South Africa, Australia, Malawi, Malaysia, Pakistan, India and China. The Academy now supports over 3,000 people worldwide each year to develop their leadership and entrepreneurship. Neil’s early career in the private sector led to an MBA at Stirling University where he developed the social enterprise he founded in 2004. Neil served on the board of Impact Arts, Scotland’s largest arts-based social enterprise and recently chaired the group creating the Social Enterprise Strategy for Edinburgh, and serves on the board of Social Enterprise Scotland.
