Sivendra is a social entrepreneur and a climate change researcher, known by Pacific communities for his work with youth on climate smart solutions. In Fiji, his founding projects are aimed at educating and empowering young people to take action on climate change and become more climate resilient through activities such as capacity building trainings, campaigns, and participation in international and regional meetings. Since 2016, Sivendra has delivered capacity building training to 9,316 people including youths from across 10 Pacific Island Countries, co-partnered in various climate crisis campaigns, supported the start-up of three social enterprise businesses focused on addressing environmental issues and established funding partnerships with local organisations to sustain their programmes. Earlier this year, he was part of Fiji’s inaugural class of 30 under 30, Faces of Fiji’s Future.
